The Seasonals Podcast by Olivia B.

The Seasonals Podcast
I went on a kayaking trip this summer and I asked the instructor how she came to be an instructor and she mentioned this podcast. It's about people with unique jobs like a wilderness therapist, guides who work at national landmarks, singers. I think its a great podcast and I just love the way that this podcast brings people from all over the world with completely different jobs and work ethics and ways of life and it's truly inspiring to hear from all these perspectives. Highly recommend The Seasonals.

Poetry Book by Jenna H.

Poetry Book
I love Rupi Kaur, author of Milk & Honey. Very easy and relaxing poetry book with hand drawn pictures to go along with every poem. Can be relatable for some.

If You Want To Walk On Water, You've Got To Get Out Of The Boat by Shanna T.

If You Want To Walk On Water, You've Got To Get Out Of The Boat
This book is by the author, John Ortberg. My grandmother actually shared this book with me after my high school graduation. The book has a catch title that draws you in. At the top of the book in bold print, it states, "The Life You've Always Wanted ." I'm sure many of you have heard of the story in the Bible about Peter stepping out of the fishing boat and walking across the crashing waves of the Sea of Galilee towards Jesus. The book goes on to explain that you will have to step out of the boat or out of your comfort zone and take chances in life. If you stay stagnant or motionless, you may never really find your true purpose or the incredible potential that awaits. This book really resonated with me because I was unsure of a major and talked myself into believing that it would be too difficult to achieve. After some reassurance from my family and my advisor here at York College, I went for it! With a lot of hard work, focus, and prayer, I can achieve anything I put my mind too. So for me, I stepped out of the boat and decided to face fear or uncertainty head on. Life is a gift and I do not take my opportunity to attend college lightly. I am proud to be a YCP Spartan. I hope you find as much encouragement in the book as I did! Happy reading!!

VMI Pod by Mackenzie Q.

I enjoy listening to recap podcasts for 2000s TV shows.

Fahrenheit 451 by Elizabeth T.

Fahrenheit 451
Fahrenheit 451 is set in a dystopian society that burns books in order to control dangerous ideas and unhappy concepts. The novel tells the story of Guy Montag, a fireman who questions the book-burning policy and undergoes extraordinary suffering and transformation as a result.

"The Alchemist" By Paulo Coelho by Manas K.

"The Alchemist" By Paulo Coelho
Everybody has their own perspective of how they interpret the content and accordingly the take-home message but something that is clear is that one must pursue his/her dreams and should be dedicated to them. There are several other books that deliver the same message with a different approach. Some of them which I read are "You must reach the power of your subconscious mind" By Dr. Joseph Murphy, "Tuesdays with Morrie" By Mitch Albom "The Secret" By Rhonda Byrne

Rich dad, poor dad by Laisha P.
