Home is where the heart is by Abigail L.

Home is where the heart is
I am from Harrisburg, PA, so only 40 minutes or so from York college! But one of my favorite things to do is go up to around Elizabethtown and go to cute coffee shops.

Home Is Where The Heart Is by Isabella F.

Home Is Where The Heart Is
I’m from Centreville MD, our favorite places to hang out were on the softball field, Ocean City, in the fields/woods and just driving around at night. I’ll miss the people I’ve grown up with and played with for the last 13 years.

My backyard by Morgan S.

My backyard
Behind my house there is a big corn field belonging to a family who owns the farm and a small dairy store. I’m going to miss watching the sun set behind the trees here🤩🤩

Where am I coming from? by Anthony H.

Where am I coming from?
I live up in the Northampton area of Pennsylvania, more specifically the town of Bath, which is about two hours from York. I feel that when school will start, I will feel a little homesick but I'm sure that I'm not alone. When it comes to places I like to hang out, I tend to enjoy places like movie theaters and I also enjoy just eating with other people at local diners or hang out with them at the mall.

East Haddam, Connecticut by Alexis D.

East Haddam, Connecticut
I am from East Haddam, CT! I am going to miss my favorite restaurant (The Gelston House) and the sunset views over the connecticut river. Hiking on my town’s trails and going on runs with my friends will definitely be missed too :)

East Lyme by Alaina C.

East Lyme
I am from East Lyme, CT! It's close to the beaches on Long Island Sound (theres three in town) and is typically filled with tourists through the summer. There are a few hiking trails and a state park in the south part of town, Rocky Neck in Niantic. The picture I included is from Oswegatchie Hills Nature Preserve in Niantic! I love to hike there because there are so many beautiful rock formations due to the last glacial shift. Some great places to eat in East Lyme are Taza Grill in Flanders, Café Sol in Niantic, Flanders Bakery in Flanders, and East Lyme Pizza in Flanders.

Big Sister Night Under the Friday Night Lights by Maya B.

Big Sister Night Under the Friday Night Lights
Home truly is where your heart is and about your connections to your local community because those connections are what makes it "home". I'll miss all my friends at our local - Schuylkill Haven High School football games, but I will miss the time spent with the biddy cheerleaders on Big Sister Night the most and will also miss my time doing educational/teaching internship at the Middle School. Looking forward to making a positive impact at York majoring in Middle level/Special education.

Haddon Twp Hawks by Harris R.

Haddon Twp Hawks
I am coming from Haddon Twp NJ. We are home to the Hawks and you can always spot a red tail hawk over every sporting event. We had 152 students in our graduating class. Many of us have been together since pre-K and many families are second and third generation "Townies". It is a great place to live and grow up a small town just like you would imagine. The good news is that everyone knows you, the bad news is that everyone knows you!

Home is where the heart is.
I'm from York City and I've been a member of this community for almost 5 years. One of my favorite places in downtown York is the Central Market House located at 34 W Philadelphia St, York, PA 17401.

Big Sister Night Under the Friday Night Lights
I will miss the Friday night lights and cheering. My favorite game is the Big Sister night where we work with the biddy cheerleaders and include them in Friday Night Lights. Its fun and a great way to mentor and support the younger girls on the biddy teams.
